There is lots to do within easy reach of Woodside.  

Culzean is only 30 minutes away,  Brodick 45 minutes and then the ferry for 55 minutes.  Dean Castle is 30 minutes away are all well worth a visit. All the castles have many events throughout the summer months.

We have three Championship Golf Courses in Ayrshire at Turnberry 30 minutes, Prestwick 15 minutes or Royal Troon 30 minutes, there are numerous other courses in the district and we can phone to book a game for you if you wish.

Loudoun Castle Theme Park is just 40 minutes away and has lots of rides for the childrenLoudoun Castle and one or two 'white knuckle' rides for the big kids too! 

We can book riding lessons at the nearby Ayrshire Equestrian Centre.  These can be for anything from 1 hour up to 1 week.

Vikingar is in the town of Largs 50 minutes away.  Here you can see what it was like for the vikings to live in Scotland and they have an audio visual display room as well.

Dalgarven Mill Museum is situated in Dalry Road, Kilwinning.  The three storey grain store has been converted to house an extensive collection of Ayrshire farming and domestic memorabilia, reflecting the self sufficiency of the pre-industrial rural community that was Dalgarven.  Leave time to wander through the unspoilt landscape formed by the gently flowing River Garnock and you can also visit the coffee room and museum shop.

Mount Stuart House and Gardens 

Mount Stuart is one of the most spectacular houses of the 19th century sited on the accessible and unspoilt island of Bute on the west coast of Scotland.

Burns National Heritage Park

The famous Scottish poet Robert Burns was born on 25th January 1759 in a humble cottage built by his father in Alloway, Ayrshire where he spent the first seven years of his life. His Birthplace has become a centre of pilgrimage for lovers of his poetry and song.
